Moss's birth has inspired the sending of several sweaters from all corners of the country to our home in his honor. With the rapidly approaching autumn weather, we staged a fitting to see which sweaters will be early fall premieres and which will have to wait until later in the "winter", size-wise. First, we need a blank canvas upon which to display all the delightful woven goods. Enter his wee white tee-shirt and jeans:
Moss the Mini Greaser
Seriously, all he needs is a pack of cigarettes rolled up in his sleeve and some Brylcreem
But I digress. Sweater #1, hand-knit by the brilliant Reihonna in Chicago, is a riff on his Baby Bug namesake. Moss is a bruiser, of this there is no doubt, but he needs a little meat on him yet for this to quite work:
Absolutely adorable nonetheless
L is for loose!
The next sweater comes to us from the Mountain time zone, hand-knit by his Annie. A nice tunic length, there's no need to worry about him growing out of this too soon. Nice and stretchy, a solidly mid-fall piece.
brb, I'm dying from a cute attack
chin up, proud Moss in his bunny sweater
Moss becomes perturbed by the sudden lack of bunny
but then deals with the loss like a champ
and says GOOOOOOOO because that's one of the only things he can say
The next sweater is a family heirloom, knit by Gramimi for her first-born son in 1952.
This fits perfectly right now, so it'll be our go-to back-to-school season sweater.
Moss enjoys this sweater. I know, let's try it with the matching bonnet!
Oh no. No no no.
Sweater and bonnet together are a no-go. Let's take the sweater off...
...aaaaaand he's immediately happy again.
Ben thinks he looks like an old-timey British barrister, but I say plain old George Washington
George MOSSINGTON
Stinkin cute one way or t'other
The other sweater sent by Gramimi unfortunately already doesn't fit -- the head hole is too small, even with the snap opened. So sorry, we missed our chance on that one -- t'was too hot when he was little enough for it.
So the end of the sweater parade story is that Moss got hungry and then fell asleep before we got to the last sweater from Mimi T, but luckily we already have a picture of him in it from back in the day (6 weeks ago).
Ah, nostalgia...
George MOSSINGTON!!! LOLOLOL!!
