One component of Ben's current job is being on-call in case someone breaks Google (probably by googling Google). He offered to cover the Christmas holiday because a) $$$, b) Google is probably not going to be too break-y because people will be busy with Christmas instead of doing break-y things, c) we were traveling on Thanksgiving but not Christmas, and d) our littles are too young to know when Christmas is anyway. So we're having our celebration on Saturday and Sunday rather than tonight and tomorrow. This has ended up being helpful, because we are so not on top of life that we didn't start any shopping until, like, yesterday. And hey, maybe post-Christmas sales will be good. And best of all, I get to anticipate Christmas morning for an extra 2 days. Hygge.
